This Indenture made the Fifth day of march in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Fifty five Between John Hodges Winsloe of Trellick in the County of Monmouth in England, Esquire, of the one part, and George Smith of Winsloe Road in this Island, Farmer, of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Forty Sovereigns or Sixty Pounds of lawful current money of Prince Edward Island by the said George Smith in hand paid to the said J. H. Winsloe at or before the unsealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said J. H. Winsloe doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of any part thereof doth acquit release and discharge the said George Smith, his Heirs, Executors and Administrators forever by these present. He, the said Jn. H. Winsloe granted bargained Sold aliened released onfeoffed and confirmed and by those present Doth grant, bargain, Sell alien release onfeoff and confirm unto the said George Smith, his heirs and assigns All that tract of land having a front on the Winsloe Road Twenty six chains or from the Northeast corner of land in possession of Eliza Smith to land in possession of John Coles, thence on Coles Boundary West Eighteen Chains and Fifty links or until it reaches the East boundary of Farms fronting on the Rustico Road and is the same tract of which the said John Smith have been in possession under Lease for the last Five years and a part of Lot Thirty three. To Have and to Hold the said piece or parcel of Ground and premises hereby released with the appurtenances unto the said George Smith his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said George Smith his Heirs and Assigns forever. Subject nevertheless to the terms and conditions reserved and contained in the Original Grant of the said Township and the said John Hodges Winsloe doth hereby for himself, his Heirs, Executors and Administrators .. warrant, promise and agree to and with the said George Smith, his Heirs and Assigns that the said John Hodges Winsloe his Heirs, Executors and Administrators shall and will forever hereafter warrant and defend the Sale and disposition hereby made and the said George Smith, his Heirs and Assigns in and to the peaceable and quiet possession and occupation of the said premises by .. thereof from and against the said _______________ Heirs, Executors and Administrators and from and against all other person and persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the said hereby .. premises or any part thereof. In witness whereof the said parties to these present have here unto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
