This Indenture made the twenty-fourth day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and Eleven Between John Cambridge late of Charlotte Town in Prince Edward Island but now of Knightsbridge in the County of Middlesex in that part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland called England, merchant and Mary his wife of the One part and Giles Hawkins of Murray Harbour in Prince Edward Island, Gentleman of the other part
Witnesseth. That for and in consideration of the sum of Ten pounds lawful money of the said Island by the said Giles Hawkins to the said John Cambridge and Mary his wife in hand well and truly paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these [resents in full for the absolute purchase of the inheritance in fee simple of and in the said Track (tract) or parcel of Land and premises hereinafter mentioned to be hereby granted and sold the receipt whereof they the said John Cambridge and Mary his wife Do and each of them both hereby acknowledge They the said John Cambridge and Mary his wife have and each of them hath granted bargained sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Giles Hawkins his heirs and assigns all that piece or parcel of ground being Lot Number Four in the second range Letter A in land down in the map of George Town in the said Island of Prince Edward among the Lots in the Royalty of George Town aforesaid and the Reversion or Reversions or Remainder and Remainders Rents issues and forfits thereof To Have and to hold the said Piece or Parcel of Ground and all and singular other? the premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be with their members? of the members and appurtenances unto the said Giles Hawkins his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Giles Hawkins his heirs and assigns forever
In Witness whereof Lemuel Cambridge of the said Island Esquire and the said Mary Cambridge have hereunto set the hand and affixed the Seal of the said John Cambridge by Virtue of a Power of Attorney for that purpose under his hand and seal duly executed and registered and the said Mary Cambridge hath hereunto set her hand and Seal the day and year first above written.
