Some time ago, Eldon Sentner approached me about putting abbreviated obituaries in the newsletter for those who had passed away during the week, and which appeared in Island newspapers. I have long wanted to do this, but lacking a volunteer until now, it was too time consuming to do myself. Eldon volunteered, and this is the result. When specified in the obituary, the address for the funeral home's web page will be given, so you can view the full obituary if still on-line. Act fast to see the original obituary, these are only posted to the funeral home web sites for a short time. Obituary indexes will be updated weekly, in the newsletter, and here on the site.

LOWE - Eleanor Mary of Charlottetown on Nov 5, 2008 at age 107. Born in Charlottetown on July 27,1901 the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Ellen (Stramberg) Lowe. She lived in the same house that she was born in for 99 years before she moved to a nursing home.

She was the oldest person recorded on PEI) Born in Bloomfield, Prince Edward Island, the daughter of the late Robert Fabian and Lyndee (Blanchard) Arsenault. She moved with her family to Maine at age three and lived through three different centuries. Wife of the late Walter Ray who died in 1967. She was very active until two weeks before she died and she enjoyed life and never thought of dying, in fact she was planning for her 115th birthday with her family members.
