The Daily Examiner, Nov 11, 1882: the steamer Worcester, Captain Hallett, arrived from Boston yesterday evening at six o'clock. The Worcester was detained on her passage by very boisterous weather. She first encountered a gale off Cape Sable, and was obliged to put into Shelburne, NS, on Monday morning for shelter. She sailed from there on Tuesday, and was again obliged to return on account of the strong easterly gale. On Wednesday morning, she sailed again, and reached Halifax on Wednesday night, and left for this port Thursday morning. Captain Hallett reports that while passing Little Hope Light, he saw an unknown wreck on the rocks a little below the lighthouse. She was in a most dangerous position. He believes that if her crew were saved, it must have been with very great difficulty. Passengers: Miss Annie McLean, Mr. S.
