To be paid on entrance to the gates: every foot passenger, 3d; Horse or cow, 5d; Horse and Sleigh, Gig or Waggon, 10d; Horse and Cart with load of Produce for Market, 9d; Sheep, Hogs, or Calves, dead or alive, 2d; Puncheons, 1s 6d; Tierces, 1s; Barrells, 3d; Empty Puncheons, 6d; Empty Tierces, 4d; Empty Barrels, 1d; Boards per 1000, 2s. 9d., Shingles, 3d; Iron, Copper, or other heavy articles per cwt, 1 ½ d.; Empty Carts, Sleighs, or Waggons, 5d.;Produce of every description per bushel, ½ d.; Trunks, Boxes, Cans, &c., rated as Puncheons, and according to weight. Double fares from Sunset to 12 o'clock, and treble fares from 12 to 6 a.m. Sunday, passengers ferried free, going to and from places of worship in Charlottetown, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Steamer does not ply between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Funerals ferried free, which includes, in each case, corpse, corpse-bearers, and mourners only.
