The Last Will and Testament of William Profit
(Originally of North Shields, England)
This is the Last Will and Testament of the William Profit’s of Township Number Forty (40) in "Queens County in Prince Edward Island. Mason.
Firstly, I give and device to my Dear Wife (Isabella) the fifty acres of land wherein I now reside together with half of the stock and crop that may be on my farm at the time of my decease and after her decease I give and device the said fifty acres of land and stock to my son James with the proviso that my said son James shall support and keep his sister Margaret during the term of her natural life, to the satisfaction of my executors herein named. I also give and device to my Wife all of my household furniture, beds and bedding, and all my personal effects and every piece of money that may be deed and owing to me at the time of my decease, after my funeral expenses had been paid, together with all my just debts, except the other bequests hereafter mentioned.
Secondly, I give and devise to my son John the fifty acres of land wherein he now resides, together with all the appointed access thereto belonging or apportioned to, save and except a sufficient land or right of way across the fifty acres of land to the county line including Lots Eighteen and Twenty for their mutual accommodation.
And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my two sons William Hall and John, as Executors to carry into effect the several matters mentioned and contained in this my last Will and Testament and evoking all other Wills by me made. I declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.
