The Last Will and Testament of Mary May, (1828 – 1917, Lot 67)

This is the last will and testament of me, Mary May of Springfield, Lot 67 in Queens County in Prince Edward Island, widow of Michael May deceased.

Whereas under the last will and testament of my late husband Michael, all the real and personal estate of which he was seized and possessed was devised and bequeathed to me for my sole use

and benefits during my lifetime, with a power for me to appoint the said real and personal estate by will to all or any of my children.

Now therefore in exercise of the said power contained in the last will and testament of my late husband Michael May and of all other powers in that behalf enabling me. I give, devise and bequeath all the real and personal property, so devised and bequeathed to me by my late husband for my lifetime, unto my beloved daughter Mary Elizabeth McGuire of Boston, Massachusetts, wife of Thomas R. McGuire. To hold this and all real and personal estate to her own use. Estate consists of 85 acres of land at Summerfield, lot 67 plus livestock, farm equipment and household furniture.

I hereby revoke all other wills and testimony dispositions at any time heretofore made by me and declare these presents only to be said, contain my last will and testament. I appoint my said daughter Mary Elizabeth McGuire to be sole executrix of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this fifteenth day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand and nine hundred and thirteen.

Signed and published and devised by the said Mary May as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us, present at the same time, who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other, have signed our names as attesting witnesses hereto,

(the said having been just read over to the said testator) who appeared to understand the same and made her mark thereto in our presence.
