The Will of John Shea Sr.(1781-1866, Bedeque Road)
In the Name of God Amen the sixteen day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Sixty four I John Shea Bedeque Road Lot Twenty Seven Prince County Prince Edward Island being sick but sound in Mind and Memory do make this my Last Will and Testament at the same time revoking all former Wills made by me Declaring this to be my last will and Testament. First I give and bequeath unto Rebecca (pencil entry above Rebecca "dead") my beloved Wife good and holsome (sic) support and to be carefully attended to both in sickness and in health By Richard my son likewise at her Death she may give her bed to whom she pleases. Also I give and bequeath John and Richard my sons all the land equally divided between them. Also to Nancy my Daughter Two Cows, and one heffier (sic), four sheep, and the remainder of the stock to Richard. Also I give to my Daughter Bridget One Shilling Cathren One Shilling Lela sheas Children one Shilling P.E.I. Gov’t.
At the same time I do appoint my two sons John and Richard Executors of this my last will and Testament.
