The Last Will and Testament of John Ryan ( - 1917, Cardigan)
This is the last will and testament of John Ryan of Cardigan, Township number Fifty Three in King's County in the province of Prince Edward Island, Merchant.
I give devise and bequeath to my son John Joseph Ryan and his heirs; All my real estate and personal property including the land and premises at present occupied by me at Cardigan Bridge.
And also all monies standing to my credit in the Savings Bank or elsewhere at the time of my death and all moneys payable under any policy or policies of life insurance. I bequeath to the Reverend John MacMillan or other Priest in charge of All Saints Church at the time of my decease, the sum of One Hundred Dollars for the purpose of celebrating masses for the repose of my soul, the same to be paid within one year from my decease.
I appoint my brother William Ryan and the said John Joseph Ryan executors of this my will. In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand subscribed this sixteenth day of January in the year of Our lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

" Alfred C. Larthard ??This will was proved on the 4th day of June A.D. 1917on the oath of Alfred C. Larthard, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto and was filed and registered on the 11th day of June A.D. 1917 and Probate granted same day to John Joseph Ryan one of the executors therein named (the other executor named in the said will having predeceased the testator)
