The Will of John Doherty (1820-1892, Dundee)

In the name of God Amen.

I John Doherty of Dundee Lot Number Fifty in the Province of Prince Edward Island Farmer, being sick and frail in body but of sound disposing mind, memory, and understanding do make and publish this as and for my last Will and Testament.

1st I give and bequeath to my dutiful Daughter Christina McPherson wife of John McPherson the sum of Twenty five dollars.

2nd I give and bequeath to my dutiful Daughter Flora Ann McLeod wife of John I. McLeod the sum of twenty five dollars.

3rd I give and bequeath to my dutiful Daughter Flora McPherson wife of Peter McPherson the sum of Twenty five dollars.

4th I give and bequeath to my dutiful Daughter Sarah McPherson wife of Norman McPherson the sum of Ten dollars.

5th I give and bequeath to my Son Murdock Doherty the sum of One dollar. I give and bequeath to each of my other Sons Viz. Donald Dogherty and Malcolm Doherty the sum of One dollar.

6th I give Devise and bequeath to my beloved wife all the rest and residue of my Real and Personal Estate after paying all my legal debts and above named bequests.

7th And lastly I nominate and appoint John I. McLeod of Dundee Farmer Sole Executor and Trustee of this my last Will and Testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto let my Hand and Seal this Third day of March A.D. One thousand Eight hundred and Ninety two ---
