Last Will and Testament of Galian McNeill, (-bef May, 1863, Vernon River)
April the 15, 1858
In the name of God amen. I Galian McNeill of Vernon River Lot 50 Prince Edward Island Farmer, make this my Last Will and Testament in Manner following (that is to say).
I give and devise the one half of my farm in my own possession the side joining on my brothers line, to my youngest son Roderick, with the buildings thereon except the boards on the kitchen loft and partition, his Heirs and Assigns forever.
I give and devise unto Lauchlin McMullan’s youngest son Galian, the other half part of the other side of my farm building upon John McDonald.
My will is that Lauchlin McMullan and his wife will have their maintenance with their own industry.
My will is that all my livestock will be at the command of my beloved wife Catherine McNeill, during her life
My will is after her death, that the aforesaid Galian (Mcollin’s, spelling is poor on this surname) son will have her stock.
My will is that my beloved wife Catherine McNeill shall be kept by Lauchlin McMullan as she ought to be kept
My will is that James my oldest son shall be paid five shillings by my son Roderick.

I hereby nominate and appoint my son Roderick and Lauchlin McMullan to be my Executors for this my Last Will and Testament.
My will is that the expenses that may arise by and out of the execution of this my Will and Proving it before the proper office will be paid equally by my two executors.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Galian McNeill the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his own presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.
