The Last Will and Testament of Daugald MacKinnon 1798 - 4 July 1873

In the name of God Amen.
This is the last will and testament of one Daugald MacKinnon of Point Prim Queens County Parish of St. Johns in Prince Edward Island.
In the first place I commit my body to the earth and resign my soul to my beloved lord and redeemer fully relying on his mercy to the end who has been pleased to bless me with such worldly substance as I now possess which I now dispose of as follows.
I give grant and bequeath to my son John Jun. the whole of my farm consisting of one hundred acres more or less.
I ordain that my wife Catherine will have her living and clothing on the farm and that she will have the west end of the house for her uses and that she will have one cow and four sheep and must be furnished with wood and water by my said son John.
I ordain that my daughters Isabella and Margaret will have their living and clothing on the farm while single and if they get married do get two cows and four sheep each.
I ordain that my daughter Ann wife of Murdock Murchison will get two cows and four sheep.
All the rest of my goods and chattels I give grant and bequeath I give to my said son John only that my wife Catherine and my daughters Isabella and Margaret will have the use of the horse and wagon when wanted.
I give grant and bequeath to my son Donald the sum of sixteen dollars and twenty-four cents and to be paid to him in five years in five annual enstalments.
I give grant and bequeath to my sons Alexander and Samuel twenty-four cents each.
I give grant and bequeath to my daughters Mary wife of John Cantelo Catherine wife of Nelson Cantelo Christie wife of Phillip Acorn and Jessie wife of Nathan Acorn the sum of twenty-four cents each.
I ordain that my son John Sr. if he is alive and will come home in poor circumstances will have his living on the farm.
And I do here by nominate constitute and appoint Simon D. Murchison, Nelson Cantelo and my son Alexander MacKinnon to be my excutors to carry this my last will and testament into effect.
In witness where of I have signed and sealed this my last will and testament this thirtieth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three.
