Will of Capt. William Sencabaugh of Prince Edward Island (1825-1913)

Submitter’s notes: Captain William Sencabaugh (1825 - 1913) was the elder son of David Sencabaugh and his wife Jane Clow. In 1866 he married Mary Steele (1836-1892), daughter of Roderick Steele and Sarah McMillan.

Of their three children, nothing is known of the oldest, David, beyond his baptism. Neither William nor Margaret, named as beneficiaries in his will, married. William was lost at sea when The Simcoe went down north of the Magdalene Islands on December 7, 1917. Margaret, who died in 1956, lived most of her adult life in Massachusetts.
