The Last Will and Testament of Artemas Inglis (-26 March 1900, Duxbury, Mass.)
Be it remembered that I, Artemas Inglis of Duxbury, in the County of Plymouth, state of Massachusetts, being of sound, disposing mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of human life do make and publish in manner and form following this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time made. After the payment of my just debts and expenses, I give to the Town Treasurer of Marshfield in Trust, One hundred dollars, the interest to be used in keeping my burial lot in order. I give and bequeath to Eleanor Magoun One Thousand Dollars and the use and improvement of my homestead for one year, if she desires. I give and bequeath to George W. Magoun, her son, Two hundred dollars. I give and bequeath to my brother Hilary Inglis of Ellerslie, Prince Edwards Island, Four hundred dollars. To the widow of my brother Donald Inglis deceased of Ellerslie, Prince Edwards Island, Five hundred dollars. The rest and residue of my estate both real and personal, I give devise and bequeath to my brother, Thomas Inglis of Hanover, Massachusetts. And I hereby appoint Francis Collamore of Pembrooke, Massachusetts sole executor of this my last will and testament. And it is my wish that he be exempt from giving surety's or sureties on his bond. In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred.

CollamoreNOTE: The above mentioned Donald Inglis III was the son of Donald Inglis, Jr. and Mary Jane Campbell as was Artemas along with Thomas, Hilary and Flora who married Archibald Ramsey and died in childbirth in 1856. Donald III's wife was Elizabeth McGinnis. Their children were: Margaret, Flora, Mary Lavenia, Hugh Donald, Elizabeth K. and Roy Melville Inglis.
