The Last Will and Testament of Rowland/Roland H. MacNeill (1864-1948, Charlottetown)

(b. ca. 1864, d. 27 August 1948)

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Rowland H. MacNeill of Charlottetown in Queens County, Prince Edward Island, Insurance Broker.

I revoke all former wills and other testamentary dispositions by me at any time heretofore made and declare this my only to be my last Will and testament.

I direct payments of my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and Succession Duties as soon after my death as may be convenient.

I nominate and appoint my son William and my son-in-law Arthur H. Roper, executors and trustees of this my will.

I give and bequeath the sum of Five hundred dollars ($500) to the trustees of the Central Christian Church of Charlottetown, the annual income therefrom to used for church purposes.

I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) to my executors to be used by them to defray expenses of a scholarship for a worthy student of the Church of Christ.

I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) to the Charlottetown Branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society.

I give and bequeath the sum one Twenty-five dollars ($25) per year for the years 1948 and 1949 to the Christian Church at Montague to be used for pastoral stipend.

I give and bequeath the sum of One hundred dollars ($100) to the Prince Edward Island Division of the Canadian Red Cross Society.

I give and bequeath the sum of Five hundred dollars ($500) to my executors and trustees to hold in trust for my son Hamilton, said sum to be paid over to him to provide for sickness or for any other emergency which my executors in their discretion consider reasonable and just.

I give and bequeath my automobile and the sum of Five hundred dollars ($500) to my son Harper.

I give and bequeath the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750) to my son Robert.

I give and bequeath the sum of One thousand dollars ($1000) to my son Rufus.

I give and bequeath the sum of Seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750) to my adopted daughter Nita MacDonald.

I give and bequeath the sum of Fifteen hundred dollars ($1500) to my son William.

I give and bequeath the sum of Three Thousand dollars ($3000) to my daughter Barbara.

I give and bequeath all the balance of my property unto my children, except my adopted daughter Nita, in the same share or proportion as that already given them in bequests unto this will.
