FIRST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF RODERICK EUGENE MCDONALD, MONTAGUE MILLS, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

I, R. Eugene McDonald make this my will:

I give to my wife Matilda McDonald the insurance due on policy 29428 dated Nov. 7^th 1900 on the North American Life Company.

I appoint George Wightman my executor.

In witness whereof I have signed and sealed and delivered as my will and at Montague on the third day of April 1902.

SECOND WILL AND TESTAMENT OF RODERICK EUGENE MCDONALD

NOTE : It is interesting to note that this will was signed on Eugene’s deathbed. In fact, his signature is not there. There is only an X on his name.

This is the last will and testament of Mr. R. Eugene McDonald of Montague in Kings Co in Prince Edward Island, Millowner.

I hereby revoke all other aforesaid wills at anytime by me heretofore made and declare this only to contain my last will and testament.

I hereby bequest to my wife Matilda A. McDonald my policy of one thousand dollars in the North American Life Assurance Company.

I devise all my real property and I bequeath all the residue of my personal property to my trustees and executors herein after named upon the following trusts:

1^st To sell and dispose of the same as soon as can conveniently may be after my decease and to pay one fifth of the proceeds arising from such sale to my mother Annie McDonald.

2^nd To divide the remaining four fifths of such sale as follows namely: one third to my wife, one third to my daughter Phoebe and one third to my child yet unborn.

I hereby appoint my wife Matilda A. to be guardian of my infant children.

I hereby appoint William A. McLean of Montague aforesaid carriage builder and Maynard McDonald of Montague aforesaid merchant to be trustees and executors of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this fifteenth day of April in the year one thousand nine hundred and five.
