This is the last will and Testament of me Jane Palmer of "the Recess" Victoria Crapaud in Prince Edward Island the Wife of Donald W. Palmer of the same place Merchant.
- I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Clara Donna Howatt Wife of Bradford D. Howatt of Crapaud aforesaid Miller and Farmer a certain Piano my private personal property now at "The Recess" aforesaid.
- I give devise and bequeath to my daughters Millicent Palmer and Gertrude Palmer at present residing with me all sum or sums of money which may be at my credit in The Dominion Savings Banks at the time of my decease share and share alike.
- I give devise and bequeath unto my said three daughters Clara Donna Palmer, Millicent Palmer and Gertrude Palmer all the residue and remainder of the personal property to which I may be entitled at the time of my decease the same to be equally divided between my said Heirs and appoint Albert Haslam [ _ _ _ _ _ ] day of June 1841.
Signed Sealed published and declared by Presaid Jane Palmer as and for her last Will in the presence of us who in her presence in the presence of each other and at her request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

Daniel CrapaudI the aforesaid Jane Palmer, being of sound mind, have decided on this the 1st day of June 1891 to add by way of Codicil to my last will that all my personal property remain in the home and no division be made until the breaking up of the establishment by the family and that my daughters Millicent and Gertrude are at liberty to draw interest of said money in Savings Bank or of investing principal as best advised.

This Will and Codicil thereto was proved on the 30th day of May 1895 on the oath of Revd A. W. Daniel one of the subscribing witness to both Will and Codicil thereto – and was filed by [Registrar] and on the 3rd Sepbr 1895 Probate was [?passed] to the Executors name on the same day
