In the name of God Amen. I Donald Martin of Orwell Head Lot 57 Parish of St. John Queens County Prince Edward Island, being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be unto God, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament. That is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the Hand of the Almighty God who gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the again b he Mighty power of God, as touching such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give, demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form ~ First – I give and bequeath to Ann Martin my Dearly beloved wife and to Margaret my Daughter the whole of my lands together with all my household goods and moveable effects to be equally enjoyed between them if it pleases God to give them days but should the child Margaret my daughter be called away before her Mother I ordain her share, the one half of my lands to her mother during her life time while she will continue single not married to another but at her demise or marriage I bequeath and ordain the said one half to my own lawful Heirs ~~ I also appoint the management of my debts and effects to the discretion of my Dearly beloved wife Ann Martin but at the approval of the following Executors – Mr. Alexander Anderson at Orwell Bay – John John Martin my Brother – Samuel MacLeod School Master Bellfast ~ I do ratify and confirm this and no other to be my last will and Testament in witness whereby I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of February in the Year of Our Lord one thousand Eighteen hundred and thirty Years ~
