Owen STEELE married Ann BRENNAN around 1870 and lived in Summerside,
PEI. He came from Scotland but all the papers say USA. He must have
thought that if he was deported, US was closer than Scotland.
They had the following children --
1. James Dougald - born August 6, 1872 in Charlottetown. Died
1935 in Port Elgin New Brunswick
2. Ann May - born Swpt 24, 1876 in Summerside. Baptized in St
Paul's RC Church on Oct 14, 1876.
3. Mary Ellen - born May 16, 1881 and died 1958 in North
Hollywood, California.
4. John Cornelius - born August 26, 1883 in Indian River and
baptized in St. Mary's RC Church on Sept 16, 1883.
5. Julia Borrnhill (adopted)
6. Ambrose Wilbert - born August 25, 1874 and baptized in St
Malachys RC Church in Kinkora on August 30, 1874.
7. Bridget Eliza - born in 1878
8. Joseph Michael (my grandfather)-born August 26, 1885, died
June 13, 1956 in Waukegan, Illinois
9. Elizabeth Regina - born Jan 22, 1889. Married Gerald West in
Sacred Heart, Calgary, Al on June 5, 1913.
I am trying to locate any of the family and also the family of the
Brennan's.
