First Generation

1. Richard Sloggett was the Surveyor of Shipping for Lloyds of London. He was born about 1829 at Devonport, England. His wife Helen was born at Plymouth, England about 1831. She died 7 Feb., 1912 at 3 Bronley Villa, Teignmouth, Devon, England. They arrived at Charlottetown in 1861. They left Charlottetown in 1888 and in 1894 they were living at West Teignmouth, Devon, England. Helen was living at West Teignmouth, as a widow in 1901.

Second Generation

Children of Richard and Helen Sloggett are:

2. Richard L., a clergyman, was born 20 Nov., 1860 and died 27 Jan., 1931 at Cape Elizabeth, Maine, USA.

ii. Annie Caroline was born 3 Dec., 1862 and baptized at St. Pauls Church, Charlottetown 1 March, 1863. She died 9 Aug., 1863 and was buried in the Old Protestant Cemetery, Charlottetown.

iii. Harry was born 27 Aug., 1864 and baptized at St. Pauls Church, Charlottetown, 26 Oct., 1864. He married 11 Dec., 1894 at Devon, England, Frances Isabella Des Voeux, daughter of A. Des Voeux. Harry was a Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers.

Third Generation

2. Richard L. Sloggett had John B. Sloggett born 4 Sep., 1897, died 28 Dec., 1988 at Portland, Maine who married 14 July, 1926 to Phyllis Oliver born 20 Feb., 1897 died 21 Sep., 1985 at Port Elizabeth, Maine.

Fourth Generation
