The original City of North Vancouver database doesn't show the dates of birth of the people, so Roxanne physically went to the cemetery to locate their headstones and add the dates of birth. For those who didn't have a stone she looked them up on the BC Archives Death Index and entered their age when they died. Roxanne has since returned tothe cemetery and photographed the tombstones she could find. You can view them by clicking on the highlighted block/column!

OBITUARY: LAWSON, Carolyn Rebecca (Branch) of North Vancouver. Born September 22, 1945 in Bathurst, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Allison Branch and Velma (Ward) Branch. Carolyn passed away at Lions Gate Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Sunday, March 14, 2004. Carolyn had met the challenges of living with cancer bravely and was lovingly supported by her family and many friends to the end. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband Ernest M. Lawson and by her brother Brian Branch. She is survived by Alvia Branch (Linda Tod), Burton (Lima) Branch. She will be greatly missed by nieces Kate (Matt), Kimberley (David), Maureen and by nephew Ward (Catherine) and by their children Anna, Sarah and Olivia and many friends. Carolyn was a graduate of Bathurst High School and Mount Allison University. She worked twenty-nine years with Human Resources Development Canada, formerly Canada Manpower, retiring in 1998. Carolyn was an avid hiker, skier, traveler and photographer. She volunteered at the palliative care unit of Lions Gate Hospital. She made many friends throughout her life who will remember her with love. A service of celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Blvd., North Vancouver, BC on Monday, March 29, 1:00 p.m. The family has asked for donations in Carolyn's memory to be made to any of the following: Callanish Society, #314-2902 West Broadway, Vancouver BC; Lions Gate Hospital North Shore Palliative Care Program and Canadian Cancer Society.
