The Descendants of Kenneth Martin and Mary Bruce

Generation One

1. Kenneth1 Martin was born on 12 Jul 1835 at Scotland. He married Mary Bruce on 10 Apr 1861 at Valleyfield Presbyterian Church, Valleyfield, PEI. He died on 2 May 1919 at Glen Martin, PE, at age 83. He was buried on 3 May 1919 at Caledonia Cemetary, Caledonia, PEI, PEI.

He emigrated in 1841 with his parents from Scotland to PEI and the family settled first on lot 59 at Heatherdale. Later they moved to Glen Martin, lot 61.

Children of Kenneth1 Martin and Mary Bruce were as follows:

i. Margaret Jessie2; born 27 Sep 1860 at PEI; died before 1861 at PEI.

ii. Catherine; born 3 Nov 1862; married W. E. Tutten.

In 1936, Catherine Martin lived at West Medford, Massachussets.

iii. John; born 28 Nov 1864; died before 1936.

He appeared on the census of 1881 at Lot 61, page 49, family 198, PEI.

iv. Catherine Mary; born 1867; died before 1936.

She appeared on the census of 1881 at Lot 61, page 49, family 198, PEI.

2. v. Charles Kenneth, born 8 May 1869; married Catherine Nicholson.

vi. Samuel John; born 27 May 1871; died 5 Feb 1915 at Prince Edward Island at age 43; buried 1915 at Caledonia Cemetary, PEI.

vii. Angus Donald; born 27 Aug 1873.

In 1936, Angus Donald Martin lived at Quincy, Mass., USA.

viii. Malcolm; born 31 Aug 1875.

In 1936, Malcolm Martin lived at Oakland, California, USA.

ix. Margaret; born 6 Aug 1877.

x. Marjorie; born 24 Dec 1880.

3. xi. Kenneth, born 23 Dec 1885 at Glen Martin, Prince Edward Island; married Alice Elvira Malcom.

Generation Two

2. Charles Kenneth2 Martin (Kenneth1) was born on 8 May 1869. He married Catherine Nicholson. He died on 18 Apr 1936 at Caledonia, Prince Edward Island, at age 66. He was buried at Caledonia Cemetary, PEI.

Children of Charles Kenneth2 Martin and Catherine Nicholson were as follows:

i. Charles3; born at PEI.

He Died in infancy.

ii. Marion; married John MacPherson.

iii. Marjorie had no issue. Was at home when her father died in 1936.

iv. Angus John; born 8 Mar 1899 at Quincy, Norfolk, Mass, USA.

v. Chester; born 1902 at PEI; married Marie MacPherson; died 1992 at Prince Edward Island; buried 1992 at Caledonia Cemetary, PEI.

He had no issue.

3. Kenneth2 Martin (Kenneth1) was born on 23 Dec 1885 at Glen Martin, Prince Edward Island. He married Alice Elvira Malcom circa 1919. He died on 1 Jul 1951 at Rossland, British Columbia, at age 65.
