The Descendants of Timothy and Mary DRISCOLL

First Generation

1.Timothy DRISCOLL was born about 1809 in Ireland. He died on 17 Apr 1877 in Milton, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. He was buried in St. John's Cemetery, Milton, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Timothy's is one of three Driscoll families living on Prince Edward Island during this period. All three families are of Irish descent however, Timothy's groups religion is Church of England where the other two are Catholic. At this point there is no known relationship between any of the families.

Timothy married Mary. Mary was born about 1813 in Ireland. She died on 14 Jun 1881 in Milton, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. She was buried in St. John's Cemetery, Milton, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

In the 1881 census Mary is a widow, living with her daughter Ellen.

Timothy and Mary had the following children:

4 M iii. Timothy DRISCOLL was born before 20 Jun 1847 in Milton, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Timothy was of Irish descent. He was baptized on 20 Jun 1847 in St. John�s Anglican Church, Milton, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

+ 5 M iv. George DRISCOLL was born on 1 Sep 1849. He died on 20 May 1895.

John is listed in the 1901 census as 47 yrs, Baptist, an occupation of a Miller/Farmer, living in Lot 31F2, Queens county, and in the 1891 census as 37 yrs, Baptist, living in Lot 31I1.

Second Generation

3. Ellen DRISCOLL (Timothy) was born about 1843 in New Brunswick, Canada.

Ellen is listed as "Helen" in the 1881 Census.

Ellen married Clement WHITE. Clement was born about 1840and was of English descent. He died before 1881.

They had the following children:

7 M i. James WHITE was born about 1860 in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

8 F ii. Mary WHITE was born about 1864 in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

9 M iii. David WHITE was born on 10 May 1865. He died in 1904.

David married Mary Barbara HYDE daughter of Henry HYDE and Isabella ADAMS in 1889 in York, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Mary was born in 1867.

10 F iv. Rose WHITE was born about 1868 in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

5. George DRISCOLL (Timothy) was born on 1 Sep 1849 in Rustico Rd, Milton, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. He died on 20 May 1895 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts. George was of Irish descent. He was baptized in St. John�s Anglican Church, Milton, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

While living on Prince Edward Island, George worked at Newsom's Furniture Factory as a Carpenter. Later, when living in Boston, he worked as a construction contractor.

George married Sarah Ann BEVAN daughter of William BEVAN and Hannah VESSEY on 30 Sep 1869 in Charlottetown, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Sarah was born on 12 Aug 1849 in Charlottetown, Queens, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

They had the following children:

Herbert married Helen E. HANSON "Nellie". Helen was born in Feb 1872 in Massachusetts. She died in 1901 in Somerville, Middlesex, Massachusetts.

Class of '06 at Harvard. After marrying Gertrude, they moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Robert became a banker.

Gertrude married William Stanley MILLER son of Morris S. MILLER and Anna A. GOOD about 1934 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. William was born on 12 Jun 1913 in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts. He died on 31 Oct 1964 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. He was buried in Milton Cemetery, Milton, Norfolk, Massachusetts.
