Death date before 1818 is because Angelique married 2nd Paul Arsenault on 8 Apr 1818 in Miscouche, PEI
Hilaire was not in the 1798 Census of PEI, but was know to be there at this time. He married around 1809
Angelique Gallant, in Malpeque, PEI. Possibly died in Egmont Bay, PEI.
Victor Cormier states he was from Cheticamp, Novia Scotia.
He is also, recorded as Fidele in his son Fidele's marriage record.

Her death record in the Old Town, Maine Death book 1891-1939 page 36, states: Jane Burton, died September 6, 1903, from pneumonia age 55 born Canada, father-Zachariah Cormier and mother Julia Chaisson both born Canada.
Jane is listed here as Zacharie's and Judith's daughter Geniveve Cormier, because records lead me to believe that she is her, Genivieve in other french name is also listed as Jane. It was also spelled in the 1881 Census of Abrams Village, PEI as JeneVieve.
Her obituary in the Bangor Daily Commercial, September 8, 1903, states: The funeral services of Mrs. V. Burton, whose death occurred at her home in this place (Old Town) Sunday, will be held from St. Joseph's Catholic church Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock. The deceased was in her 53rd year at the time of her death and has been in ill health for some time. The direct cause of her demise was typhoid pneumonia.
Genevieve married Valere Joseph LeBreton, son of Marin LeBreton and Celina Vautour, on 7 May 1893 in Old Town, Penobscot, Maine. Valere was born 20 Oct 1868/1872 in Pokemouche, Gloucester, New Brunswick. He died 17 May 1927 in Old Town, Penobscot, Maine and was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Old Town, Penobscot, Maine.
Val's obituary in the Bangor Daily Commercial, May 18, 1927, states the following: Val LeBretton died suddenly at his home, 25 Centre Street, Old Town, Tuesday evening. He had been in his usual good health during the day, appearently, having worked as usual and eaten supper. During the evening he complained of illness and a physician was summoned, but was unable to relieve his trouble and the sick man passed away before midnight.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five children; Leona, Mamie, Clarence, Louis and Victor, all of Old Town; also by one sister and four brothers; Mrs. Achille Belanger of this city, Philos, Louis, and Charles of Canada, and Alexander, living somewhere in the west. The funeral will probably be held Friday morning.
In the 1881 Census of Inkerman, Gloucester, New Brunswick, Val is listed as age 13, make his birth 1868.
In the 1901 Census for Chatham, Northumberland, New Brunswick, Canada, film # T-6442, Division 19-D1, page 16, entry 14-16, family 159; it list; Val age 29 b. 10 May 1871 New Brunswick, wife Jane age 40 b. 8 Jun 1860, New Brunswick, and son Henry age 4 b. 20 Dec 1896 New Brunswick.
In the 1920 Federal Census of Milford, Penobscot county, Maine; Val's family is listed; and is stated that him and his wife Catherine's mother tougue is French and also there parents, both could speak and write the english word though. Val is stated as immigrating in 1885 to American and naturalized in 1905? hard to read, he worked in a Snow Shoe Factory. Catherine's immigration and naturalization is hard to read. There children are listed; Leona, Mamie, Clarence and Louis.
Val's death record gives his cause of death as Enlargement of Heart. Age 54 y-6m-28 d. The death record infomation is found in the City of Old Town's Death Record Book, dated 1891-1939 on page 118.

Friday forenoon at 9 o'clock. She is buried in Plot 258 in Forest Hill Cemetery in Old Town, Maine.
The 1900 Federal Census of Old Town, Maine page 71 A, states she immigrated to the US in 1871, it also stated that she had 3 children and all are still alive.
The 1910 Census of Old Town, Maine, ED 187, Ward 2, sheet 16, states she had 3 children, and 0 alive at census. Also, besides her was husband William Flanagan age 48, Josephine Flanagan adopted age 14, Edmund Melanson nephew age 4 born Maine, states both were married 27 years.

I received a call from Colleen's family today. I am a relative of theirs who comes from New Brunswick. They called concerning the citation for the marriage of William Flanagan and Judith Cormier from the Catholic parish records from Kent County. Unfortunately, Judith's parents' names were not listed. I found this record at the Celtic Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick. I know that the names are different e.g.: Julia and Judith but her mother's name was Judith, so there seems to be a possible connection here. Maybe, she went by Julia.

My grandfather is Jean Baptiste Poirier, one of five sons and four girls born to Amable Poirier and Marie DesRoches of St.Nicholas, PEI. Jean Baptiste was born Dec 18, 1890 and was baptized Dec 21, 1890 in St.Jean's The Baptiste Church, Miscouche, PEI.
J. B. went to school for two years in a one room school house in Union Corner, PEI. The building is still there and has been restored back to a one room school house.
On Sat, 01 June, 1918, in the Mont Carmel Church he married Marie Suzanne Marguerite DesRoches, born 14 April, 1894, daughter of Laurant "Larry" Gallant and Marie Cormier, of Egmont Bay.
About 1921, J. B. and Susie moved to Minto New Brunswick where he worked in a coal mine. In 1926 they moved back to Summerside, PEI. It was then that Jean Baptise discovered he had a natural ability for carpentry work and he began doing house construction and renovations for people in the Summerside area. Some of the houses J. B. built are on Willow, Highland, Hawthorne, Maple and Chestnut Ave.; also Green, North Market, Duke, and Central Street.
J. B. also built some stables at the race track, the original Peter's Monument, apartments above the Crystal Dairy, Lorne Driscoll's warehouse, plugged windows in the Holman's Department store, put a new roof on the old Clifton Hotel, three cottages at Cavendish Beach for the Holman's Department store, did a lot of work for Joseph Sylvere DesRoches, a lawyer in Summerside and J. B.'s cousin, worked on the Civic Stadium. His last job was raising a roof on a house on Cedar Street.
The "J. B.and his workers" were so good at building houses that some townspeople made up a story about the speed of their work. It went like this: "When you are going to work in the morning the J. B.'s are laying the foundation of a house, when you come home from work that night the tenants are being evicted for back rent!"
In the winter J.B. snared rabbit, fished eels and smelts, some of which he sold to make money to buy other food. He also snared foxes and mink to sell the fur. They always raised a pig in the summer to have for winters meat.
Susie also helped to make extra money. She would take slips from her house plants and repot and sell them. Every Sunday evening she had a bingo in her home. She charged 1-cent admission and the prize was a 5-centpiece. At the bingos she would sell rapure and french biscuits.
On June 1st, 1968 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Jean Baptiste Perry/Poirier died Feb 22, 1971, Susie died Jan 21, 1985. Both are buried in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside, PEI. Jean Baptiste and Susie have 13 children. As of Dec, 2002, there are 48 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Emmanuel died accidently in Montreal in 1945.
