Scotty was a Scottish mariner who was master of vessels sailing out of Westmoreland Harbour (now Victoria) PEI His last voyage was on the "Snow Squall", so named because her keel was laid in a snow squall and she was launched in a snow squall. To complete the triad she was lost in a snow squall. She was loaded by her owner, Donald Palmer, with produce for Newfoundland and se sail with Scotty at the helm. She was lost at sea with all hands on board 15 Oct 1876.
